Outstanding Students Who Made Katsina Proud

The Permanent Secretary Ministry of Education Hajiya Halima Lawal Othman has today extolled the virtues of His Excellency the Governor of Katsina State Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari for his onerous commitment to Education sector in the State.
The Permanent Secretary was speaking at a grand reception organized for some outstanding Students who made Katsina State proud at various competitions both at National and International levels. Hajiya Halima Lawal said, the huge investments in Education, the Governor has been making started yielding positive results as the State Students performed excellently well at various competitions nationally and internationally. She stressed that all the achievements so far recorded is as the result of the Governor’s doggedness, persistent and required attention given to Education in the State.
The Perm Sec further credited a substantial percentage of success by the Students to the tireless efforts of the Teachers in the State and urge them to maintain the pace.
The Students who presented to the Permanent Secretary various laurels they won are as follows:-
a) four Students from Hassu Iro Inko Girls College Katsina namely:- 
1. Fatima Muhammad Inuwa.
2. Fa’iza Nura Ma’aji
3. Fatima Mustapha Lawal
4. Nafisa Surajo.
The Students represented the State at an event titled” Students for the advancement of global entrepreneurship organised in collaboration with Small  and medium enterprises agency of Nigeria in Abuja. The Students designed an embroidery Machine and twisting Machine for hand embroidery and ornament. The School clinched “the Best  Business Project in poverty alleviation. Furthermore the School won the most outstanding Business Project in Female Gender empowerment and inclusion.
Another set of three Students from Government College Day wing Funtua represented the State at the international Festival of engineering Science and Technology in Tunisia with their Project titled Multi Purpose solar thermal collector system. 
The Project won a Bronze Medal at the global annual engineering Science and technology exhibition.
The Students are:- 
Zaharadeen Suleman
Mustapha Kabir
Ahmed Saidu.
Malam Yazid Ahmed is their Project Supervisor. 
Again, three Students namely:
Sani Aliyu Nadada
Shafaatu Aminu
Abdussalam Alhassan from Alhuda Academy, Mariamoh Ajiri  Katsina and Fiddausi international School Funtua respectively represented Katsina State and Nigeria at the annual Kennedy Lugar Youth Exchange and Study YES Programme for 10Month in the United States of America. 
Last but not the list, one Student from Government College Junior Katsina Hussaini Muhammad represented Katsina State and Nigeria at the World Cup for Junior Secondary Schools in South Africa, the Nigerian team came second with a Silver Medal. Furthermore the same Student represented Katsina State and Nigeria at the African Cup of Nations organized by CopaCoca Cola in Kenya, Nigerian team also came Second with Silver Medal.
The Permanent Secretary could not hide her joy and happiness for the wonderful performance of the Students, she hoped that His Excellency would have audience with the Students to bless their outstanding performance.
Highlight of the occasion was the presentation of Certificates to the Perm Sec by the Students and sharing of experience by the YES Students where one of them stated that his host Father in the US did fast along with him for 18 days to show spirit of togetherness and affection for his host son.
