100 days in office: Governor Matawalle’s giant strides unprecedented – Dauda Lawal

Dr. Dauda Lawal Dare has described the Executive Governor of Zamfara State, Bello Matawalle, as a dedicated, committed, and hardworking governor in the history of the state.

Dauda, a frontline politician, professional banker, and economic expert, is a member of the famous G8 team who stood against the imposition of candidate by former Governor Abdul’aziz Yari.

Governor Matawalle’s 100 days in office were quite remarkable and proficient to the people of Zamfara state, Dauda said in a statement signed by his media assistant, Suleiman Bala Idris on Friday.

“Today, September 6, 2019 marks Governor Matawalle’s 100th day in office as the executive governor of Zamfara State. These days spent by His Excellency, Bello Matawalle came with so many blessings to the people of Zamfara State which before his assumption to office were plagued by wanton challenges ranging from high rate of insecurity orchestrated by bandits, multiple cases of kidnappings, deteriorating state of educational sector, poverty and others,” the statement said.

The politician stated that the Zamfara governor deserves accolades for his giant strides in the area of education.

“Few days after Governor Matawalle was sworn in as the executive governor of Zamfara State, he met with the representatives of the Registrar of NECO in his office, where he agreed to settle the five years outstanding registration fees of N1.3 billion. This was the move that provided an opportunity for all final year students of secondary schools across Zamfara State to sit for the NECO exams,” he said.

On assumption of duty 100 days ago, Governor Matawalle’s assurances on restoring peace in Zamfara state raised hope and renewed the confidence among the citizens. “From what we have seen in the state, Governor Matawalle has performed excellently. He has done a lot for the state within the very short time he became the governor,” the statement said.

The statement said it is an open secret that courtesy of Governor Matawalle painstaking effort, insecurity is becoming history in the state. “By now, everyone is satisfied with the fact that the governor has been able to quell insecurity within his 100 days in office. In addition, the executive governor had also provided portable water supply in the state.”

Dr. Dauda finally calls Governor Matawalle to continue with the good work as the masses have confidence in his administration. “We fought for a better Zamfara State, and it is our duty to continue to support the present administration in achieving its goals,” he said.
