The Katsina State council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) will hold prayer sessions in mosques and churches over the spate of banditry, kidnapping and other security challenges in the state.
It said the prayer session is part of activities planned for the celebration NUJ’s Media Week, which commences on Friday (today) and ends on Monday next week.
While the Islamic prayers will held today in mosques, the Christian session will hold on Sunday in selected churches.
Briefing newsmen yesterday, Secretary of the union, Tukur Dan-Ali, said an interactive session with heads of security agencies and other critical stakeholders towards addressing insurgency in the state, forms part of the programme.
