Governor Aminu Bello Masari this Monday witnessed the swearing in of the state solicitor general and permanent secretary in the state ministry of Justice, Hajiya ( Barrister) Safiya Umar Badamasi as a Senior Advocate of Nigeria-SAN.
Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari was accompanied to the Supreme Court, venue of the swearing in ceremony by the Senator representing Katsina south, Alhaji Bello Mandiya, the Deputy speaker of katsina state House of Assembly, Alhaji shehu Dalha Tafoki, the Grand Khadi, Alhaji Al-Hafiz Abubakar Wali and the former member representing Katsina central constituency, Alhaji Sani Danlami.
The chief Justice of Nigeria, Alhaji Tanko Muhammad presided over the swearing in of the 38 new SANs in the supreme Court Hall.
Reports showed that Barrister Safiya Umar Badamasi is the first SAN from katsina state and also the first female SAN from the Northern Nigeria.
Out of the 38 new SANs sworn in, two are females .
