NITDA Ready To Support Youths On ICT — DG

    The Director-General, National Information Technology Development Agency, (NITDA) Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, CCIE, has urged the newly trained Corp Members, Interns and SIWES who are serving in various capacities at the Agency to make use of the best skills they learned in improving ICT sector in the Country.

    The DG who was represented by the Director of Information Technology Infrastructure Solutions, Dr Usman G Abdullahi said this during the closing ceremony of CISCO Preparatory Training for Interns, Corp Members and SIWES at the Agency’s IT Training Laboratory in Abuja.

    Inuwa noted that NITDA is always ready to support teaming Nigerian Youths in the areas of ICT in such a way that it will lead to the swift growth of the sector and boost the nation’s economic growth.

    He also appealed to the trainees to use the knowledge they acquired to the best of their ability.

    “I urge you to make the best use of the opportunity given to you which will help in your future endeavours”, he said.

    The DG further stated that capacity building is one of the Agency’s mandates to deepening the penetration of Information Technology in Nigeria.

    He urged the participants to put into practice everything they learnt from the programme, which will directly and indirectly creat more jobs in the country.
