A 12-year-old Nigerian boy, Chika Ofili based in the UK was awarded after discovering a new formula in mathematics.

The new formula was discovered while he was solving his mathematics assignment and he found a new formula for divisibility by 7.

The formula:

TAKE THE LAST DIGIT OF THE GIVEN NUMBER AND MULTIPLY IT BY 5 AND THEN ADD THE REMAINING NUMBER TO THE RESULT. IF THE RESULT IS A MULTIPLE OF 7 THEN THE ORIGINAL NUMBER IS DIVISIBLE BY 7.

Example (1) 126

12+6*5=12+30=42
42 is a multiple of seven, hence the original number 126 is divisible by 7. Meaning 126/7=18

Example (2) 4522

452+2*5=452+10=462
462/7= 66

CLAP CLAP CLAP FOR CHIKA!!!
