His Excellency, Zamfara State Executive Governor Hon Dr. Bello Mohammed MON (Matawallen Maradun) has said his administration will create 25000 jobs for the State youths through Technological Innovation and production.
The Governor made this known today when he received State Executives of Zamfara State Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture to a courtesy call under the leadership of Dr Abdullahi Maiwada at the Government house council chamber, Gusau.
Governor Matawalle said that his administration is determine to create 25000 jobs to youths of the state through Technological Innovation and production for the purpose of improving the economic status of the state.
Matawalle further explained that during his recent Business Summit visit to Russia along with President Muhammadu Buhari a lot of economic cooperation agreements were entered into with world leading business entrepreneurs at the instance of the President.
He added that, the President introduced the state’s economic deposits to the development partners who leading to the establishment of serious business commitment to invest into the state mining and solid minerals sector.
He also explained that his Government has already designed a Master Plan with one of the world’s leading technology company to create 25000 jobs for the State youths in order to make them self reliant and self sufficient in the production line which he expressed confidence, will further boost the economy of the state.
Matawalle maintained that technology now provides 75 percent of the jobs and Nigeria and Zamfara will not be left out .
The Governor also promised to reintroduce the state’s annual trade fair with a view of creating growth to the economic activities and environment for investment
Matawalle also commended the State Chamber of commerce for the timely visit and assured them of his administration’s support and cooperation.
Earlier in his speech the State President of Zamfara State Chamber of Commerce, Industries Mines and Agriculture ZACCIMA, Dr. Abdullahi Maiwada said they were at the Government House to encourage the governor on his giant efforts of restoring the lost glory of the State and urged him to continue in the direction he has established and the ideas he is taking in reviving the state economy and on Security.
Dr Maiwada explained that since the inception of the present administration of Governor Matawalle, Zamfara State has been witnessing sound return of peace and all the economic activities in the State.
He stated that, all the markets that were shut down due to armed banditry activities have been reopened and a lot of economic activities are fully taking place without any fear of any form of attack while many businesses have been rejuvenated and reactivated in the state.
The President also presented an award of Meritorious Service to the Governor for his effort in changing the plight of the State business communities.
The courtesy call was attended by the State Deputy Governor, Barrister Mahdi Aliyu Gusau, Chief of Staff Government House, Col Bala Mande rtd, Head of Service, Alhaji Kabiru Balarabe, State PDP Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Mallaha Gusau, Permanent Secretaries and Directors General among others.
