ARREST OF A NOTORIOUS MEMBER OF KIDNAP SYNDICATE AND RESCUE OF A VICTIM: On 28/11/2019 at about 15:30hrs, the Command’s SARS Team succeeded in arresting one Ibrahim Kasim, m, aged 22yrs of Sokoto Road, Makera, Funtua LGA of Katsina state, a member of Kidnap syndicate terrorizing Katsina and Zamfara states.
On 16/04/2019 at about 12:00hrs, Suspect conspired with other members of his syndicate and kidnapped his step sister, one Asiya Kasim, f, aged 6yrs old of the same address to Talata Mafara LGA of Zamfara state. SARS Patrol Team led by SP Andrew Alphouse swoop into action and arrested the mastermind of the kidnap incident. In the course of investigation suspect confessed to have conspired with his girlfriend one Murja of Zamfara state.
He further stated that he was the one that organized the kidnapping including the phone number of his father where the sum of N10 million naira was demanded by the kidnappers. The Command is making effort to apprehend other members of the syndicate. Investigation is ongoing.STEP MOTHER ARRESTED FOR POISONING HER STEP DAUGHTER IN RIMI LGA OF KATSINA STATE: On 28/11/2019 the Command arrested one Aisha Abubakar, f, aged 38yrs of Sabuwar Unguwa Quarters, Rimi LGA of Katsina state who killed her step daughter, one Aisha Abubakar, f, aged 4yrs of the same address, kept under her care, through administering of poisonous food. Victim was rushed to the hospital and later confirmed dead by the attending physician. In the course of investigation suspect confessed to the commission of the crime.
Her motive been of a long standing hatred she has for the mother of the victim. Investigation is ongoing.CATTLE RUSTLING AND RECOVERY OF STOLEN CATTLE: On 25/11/2019 at about 23:00hrs, Operations Puff Adder and Sharan Daji jointly responded to a distress call based on a report that some unrepentant bandits have attacked Dan Ali village of Danmusa LGA of Katsina state and rustled twelve cows belonging to one Amadu Mamman, m, aged 40yrs of the same address.
The teams swoop into action, gave the hoodlums a hot chase and recovered all the stolen twelve cows. Suspects took to their heels and escaped into the dark forest. Investigation is ongoing.ARREST OF A FRAUDSTER AND RECOVERY OF COUNTERFEIT MONEY: On 24/11/2019 at about 21:00hrs, based on a tip off, the Command succeeded in arresting one Junaidu Lawal, m, aged 28yrs of Sabuwar Tasha Quarters, Katsina, Katsina state in possession of sixty-one (61) pieces of N1000 notes denomination and twenty-six (26) pieces of N500 notes denomination reasonably suspected to be counterfeit. Suspect confessed to the crime and is assisting the police in their investigations.
