The health officials were reportedly locked in one of the wards during the time they were on routine ward inspection. Prof Aminu Mohammed, former Chairman, Nigeria Medical Association, Kano branch, who confirmed the incident, said the health workers were in the PPEs when they were taken and locked in one of the rooms at the centre.
Patients at an isolation centre in Kwanar Dawaki, Kano State, on Friday held two doctors and nurse hostage for several hours.
