A meeting has been held between Governor Aminu Bello Masari and the management of Max Air limited in Katsina.
Addressing the meeting, the Governor explained that the meeting was a follow up to earlier agreement reached with the management of the company before the outbreak of Covid-19.
He recalled that the earlier signed MOU had fixed January for the flights to commence but the pandemic put a halt to the agreement.
He said government had agreed to the 4th of September, 2020 agreed for the take off of the flights from katsina to Abuja, Lagos and if possible other parts of Nigeria.
He assured that the state television and Radio station would be made to ensure that people are aware of the Max Air domestic flights affecting katsina.
The Governor similarly assured that the federal ministry of Aviation will be fully and adequately informed on the MOU signed between Katsina state government and Max Air limited.
Earlier, the vice chairman of Max Air limited, Alhaji Bishir Bara’u Mangal explained that they were at government house to conclude negotiations with the state government on the domestic flights to be carried out from Katsina to Abuja and Lagos.
Alhaji Bishir Mangal told the meeting that the management had fixed 4th of September, 2020 for the flights to take off from katsina.
He assured that the management of Max Air limited would work assiduously to end the sustenance of the domestic flights from katsina to Abuja and Lagos and if possible other parts of Nigeria.
