Muduru, a village located 24 kilometers on the outskirts of Katsina along Daura road. And from Muduru to Badole harmlet, a distance of 2 kilometers from Muduru, one would find a large acreter of farmland belonging to Sarkin Gonar Katsina, Alhaji Lawal Abdu Muduru.
The owner of the farmland is one of the youths who brought changes to bear in modern techniques of farming in Katsina State.
He started farming on a subsistence basis but later turn to large scale, now tilling the land in both wet and dry season farming.


Alhaji Lawal Abdu Muduru started with a small farmland but now work on 300 acres of land. Before he only applies fertilizer in some measurements but now purchased lorries of the commodity for applying in his farmlands. He started with the only farmland in Muduru but extend farming to farms obtained inTsanni and kankara.


Apart from cropped farming, Alhaji Lawal Abdu Muduru now rears animals and birds . In his words, people took him to be a fool for investing money in the bushes but now realized that it was a wise investment with annual monetary profits.
Alhaji Lawal Abdu Muduru told a correspondent of the links that he had been alone stressing that government had never thought it wise to assist him with loans. He contended that the APC administration had not help him in anyway possible.


He alleged that the assistance being rendered to farmers are only but a hoax as loans were not given to genuine farmers but errand politicians.
Alhaji Lawal Abdu Muduru particularly spoke of the turn around witnessed in his farmland at Muduru where he said maize now grows just like in southern Katsina. This he said was in addition to groundnut and beans being grown in the farmland.
Sarkin Gonar Katsina is happily married to four wives and is blessed with 10 children.
