The meeting which was convened at the instance of the partys national leader and Chairman Board of Trustees, Alh Balarabe Musa, was attended by many state party chairmen and secretaries, which included Kaduna, Kano, Ondo, Imo, Ebonyi, Edo, Cross-River, Rivers, Taraba, Niger, Plateau, Borno, Adamawa, Ekiti, Nassarawa, Kogi, Niger, Abia, Zamfara, Lagos and Jigawa among others.
Other prominent party faithfuls at the meeting were Prof Sule Bello, Shehu Isa Kaita, Dr Sirajo Yakubu, Prof. Zaffar Salim, Engr Patrick Akindulu, Prof James Adams, Kabir Gwangwazo, Aishatu Umar Mohammed, Abdulkadir Musa Guza amongst many others.
Also present were the DSS, the Police and invited members of the Press.
After extensive deliberations, the Falalu Bellos led administration was found incapable of steering the affairs of the party based on the following considerations:
A demonstrated lack of good faith for the Party on the part of Falalu Bello and his associates, which is expressed in the forms of disregard and disrespect for the partys decisions, assignments, constitution, ideology and leadership, in addition to a standing desire to promote divisions, strife and destruction in the rank and file of the party
The above ill-will against the party is further demonstrated in the numerous illegalities being perpetrated by the Falalu-led administration. It is also fully expressed in a so-called Programme of Party Activities being circulated by the same group of people, even though no such decisions were ever arrived at through consultations and discussions with all the leading organs of the party, or its general membership
Thirdly and finally all attempts to make Falalu Bello see reason and toe the path of legality, by various party members and its well-wishers, have come to naught. Various attempts to get Falalu Bello to respect the NDC decisions of the Party and call for meetings in order to allow for inputs from all other organs, and members, of the party were rudely rebuffed, or deceptively disregarded, by the Interim National Chairman to the point where his tenure expired without even attempting to solve the most important problems of the party to which he was assigned. On the contrary, he kept pursuing illegal causes, which only worked to undermine and undo the party at all levels.
Based on the foregoing, members unanimously resolved as follows:
That the said Programme circulated by Falalu administration titled NEC CIRCULAR ON SCHEDULE OF ACTIVITIES OF THE PEOPLES REDEMPTION PARTY (PRP) FROM AUGUST 2020 TO AUGUST 2021 dated 1st September 2020, has no legal basis as the Falalu Bello led National Executive Committee (NEC) has ceased to exist with the expiration of its term on 16th December 2019. This is coupled with its failure to conduct the National Convention of the Party on, or before, the 16th of December 2019 as mandated by the September 2018 National Delegate Conference (NDC) of the PRP.
That the meeting unanimously passed a vote-of-no-confidence on Falalu Bellos led administration
That the meeting unanimously nominated and endorsed Prof. Sule Bello as the Interim National Chairman to coordinate the affairs of PRP. The meeting also agreed that Professor Sule Bello in consultation with the BOT Chairman, should form a National Working Committee that will conduct the PRP National Convention in compliance with court judgment that reinstated PRP as a political party.
The meeting called on the National Leadership of the Party to host a National Convention of the Party as soon as possible
All decisions reached will be communicated to the Chairman BOT in readiness for further necessary action.
Similarly, all the decisions reached would also be communicated to Falalu Bello for his attention
Finally, the address of the PRP National Headquarters still remains C14, F10, Close Jabi Airport road by-Pass Mbora District, Jabi Abuja and not No 8 Ogbabi Street, Garki 2, Abuja as paraded by Falalu Bello
