The Nigeria Association of women journalists NAWOJ, katsina state council has made an advocacy for a review of the rape law to ensure capital punishment for rapists ,in katsina state.
The leadership of the council advocated for this when they met with the chief judge of katsina state justice Musa Danladi Abubakar on a courtesy visit.
The state chairperson Hannatu Mohammed who led other members said it has became necessary for NAWOJ to strengthen relationships with the judicial arm to ensure success in the fight against rape which has became very alarming in the society.
Justice Musa Danladi Abubakar expressed delight over the visit and called for collaboration with the media and other critical stakeholders to ensure success
The chief judge pledged support to the Association in achieving their quest, he said the judiciary will not relent in ensuring the protection of societal values.
