Gov. Masari attend the inauguration ceremony of As-Salam Global University in Jigawa

Governor Aminu Bello Masari has attended the laying foundation for the establishment of As-Salam Global University, Hadeja in Jigawa state.
The university project is the initiative of the National leadership of Jama’atil Izalatil Bid-ah Wa Iqamatis Sunnah- JIBWIS.
Governor Aminu Masari was accompanied by the state Commissioner of information, Culture and Home Affairs Alhaji Abdulkareem Sirika Sirika, the state Commissioner for special Duties, Alhaji Abdulkadir Zakka, the state Commissioner of commerce, Alhaji Muntari Abdulkadir Dutsinma and the special Adviser on Higher Education, Alhaji Bishir Ruwan Godiya.
President Muhammad Buhari was represented by the Minister of communication, Dr Isah Ali Fantami during the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, the National leader of JIBWIS, Sheikh Abdullahi Bala Lau announced that members of Izala throughout Nigeria that were asked to donate generously for the establishment of the University through one thousand Naira each contributed 150 million Naira through the bank account opened for the purpose.
He announced 500 million Naira donation by the a Governor of one of the states.
Similarly, he said that the proprietor of A.A. Rano pledges to construct 300 million Naira worth of structures in the university.
In addition, he said several other Nigerians have pledged either cash or promised to erect structures in the University.
Both the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar and the Emir of Hadeja, Alhaji Adamu Abubakar Maje showered encomiums on the Governor of Jigawa state for donating a 150 hetre of land for the university project by JIBWIS in Hadeja.
They observed that the project would advance the cause of education in the country.
The two Royal fathers therefore requested well meaning Nigerians to support the university project.
In a remark, the Jigawa state Governor, Alhaji Badaru Abubakar announced a fifty million Naira each donation from the Governors of Katsina, Kano, Kebbi and sokoto.
Alhaji Badaru Abubakar also announced that the Governor of Gombe had pledged to construct a 150 student capacity Auditorium in the University.
In addition, he said that the Governor of plateau state had sent a donation of two million Naira.
The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Alhaji Ahmed Idris Wase who represented the Speaker announced on behalf of Muslim members of the National Assembly a whooping sum of 150 million Naira.
In a message to the gathering, President Muhammad Buhari who was represented by sheikh Isah Ali Fantami pledged to support the emergence of the university.
Highlight of the occasion was the laying of foundation by dignitaries under the leadership of the Sultan of Sokoto Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar.
