For a secured coastline, and to guarantee safer international trade between Nigeria and her trading partners, which mostly depend on sea routes for the movement of cargoes, do you know that the Buhari administration has recently added 4 new patrol boats to the Nigerian Navy’s fleet of armed sea vehicles to achieve that goal?
The 4 new Aresa Patrol Boats were delivered to the Navy on the 4th of October 2021, and have contributed greatly to Nigeria’s continuous successes on the onslaught against pirates on our high seas, thus boosting the confidence of our international traders to engage in more deals.
Simply put, the steady arming of our Naval force by the Buhari administration is a very important aspect of the drive towards strengthening and diversifying the country’s economy. As such, it should be sustained in the overall interest of the nation.
