Nigerians React To Upliftment Of Twitter Ban As Adamu Garba, Others Trend

Former presidential aspirant Adamu Garba is currently trending on Twitter.

On the 12th of January 2022, the federal government announced the lifting of the suspension on Twitter, it was announced by Kashifu Abdullahi, the NITDA DG.

Nigerians youths, however, haven’t been so affected by the ban due to the use of VPN.

Nigerians have since been reacting to it and have started dragging Adamu Garba CEO of Crowee, the former presidential aspirant who was in total support of the ban as he encouraged Nigerians to make use of his Crowee social media app instead of Twitter.

Nigerian youths have since taken to their Twitter pages to air their opinion over the development with some mocking Garba.

For instance, @firstlady said, ‘Jack did not grant them any privileges nor concessions. Twitter did not meet Lai Mohammed’s stupid conditions. They couldn’t even bend their rules for trump. They simply lifted the ban for Bashir, tolu and their supporters. Now Adamu Garba will start disturbing us again.” (sic)

@ Damiar0s also tweeted a picture of old men looking frustrated with the caption, “ Adamu Garba of Crowee social media app hearing WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook is down” (sic)

@ Akmon10 tweeted, “Cheers to us that didn’t know there’s Twitter ban, retweet this let’s shame Adamu Garba and his team. (sic)
