@Do you know Ng.
To guarantee the health and total wellbeing of all graduates sent on national assignment under the NYSC scheme, do you know that the Buhari administration has just approved their enrolment into the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS)?
This was made known on Friday, February 11, 2022 when the Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) flagged off the commencement of the health initiative, which was named as NYSC Group Individual Family Social Health Insurance Programme (GIFSHIP).
Under the initiative, all Corps members will be entitled to fully paid healthcare, which covers all kinds of treatments and checkups, beginning from when they picked up their call-up letters to the time their terminal leave ends, which is 3 weeks after their formal disengagement from NYSC.
Essentially, it is remarkable that after it increased the monthly allowances of Corps members the Buhari administration is now also offering them fully paid healthcare. This gesture will help our youths enjoy a comfortable national assignment, and will motivate them to serve better.
