To inspire and develop the creative energy among our students of technology and engineering, do you know that the Buhari administration has been organising technological innovations competitions among Nigerian universities?

One of such was the one organised in May 2021 by the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), which drew participants from some technical universities in the South/South and Southeast regions, during which various equipment created by the students were displayed.

The schools that took part in the competition were: Federal University of Technology, Owerri (Team Exploits); Alex Ekweme Federal University, Abakaliki (Team Agro Energy); Niger Delta University, Wilberforce Island (Team Tiny Hearts); University of Calabar (Team BMBI), and the Cross River University of Technology (Team Solar Element Stove).

Basically, the competition was meant to develop digital entrepreneurship technology among our youths, and then expose them to industry experts that will mentor them and even help develop their ideas and inventions into useable and marketable items across the world.
