FG DISTRIBUTES COWS TO VICTIMS OF CONFLICT AN FLOOD DISASTERS IN TARABA STATE

    The federal government of Nigeria under the leadership of president Muhammadu Buhari, has begun the distribution of the sum of 6,800 cows to people affected by conflict and flood calamities in Taraba State.

    The distribution was headed by Director General National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, Mallam Mustapha Habib who was ably represented by Deputy Director Research and Forecast, Mallam Abdullahi Adamu on Monday, 6th June 2022, where the distribution of 3,996 cows to victims of Mambila crisis, Gembu local government area of the state took place.

    He also added that, the distribution of the cows was part of the 2018 emergency agricutural intervention programme for victims of flood and crisis.

    According to him, the programme was an initiative of the federal government known as National Food Security Council, NFSC, which was divided into crop farmers’ and pastoralists’ components.
