The Director General, National Emergency Agency, NEMA, Mallam Mustapha Habib Ahmed has flagged-off distribution of relief items approved for persons affected by banditry on communities in Kanam Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The DG, who was ably represented by Deputy Director Operations Bashir Idris Garga sympathised with the persons and communities over the calamity of banditry in their communities. He said that the items were delivered on behalf of the Federal Government in expression of concerns over the situation, especially condition of the affected persons to provide them succour.
The Chairman of Kanam Local Government who was represented by the Council Secretary Alh. Hashimu ibn Umar and a community leader Galadiman Jahr Alh. Yau Abubakar appreciated the Federal Government through NEMA for the gesture.
