Lado’s Unforgettable Judas Kiss

Let me quickly remind you of one of the world’s most deceitful politicians.

Can my readers recall the Richard Nixon saga? You know, before the ex-American president, Nixon, officially resigned barely five decades ago, he had assured his countrymen that they deserved to know whether he was a crook, but he bluntly said that he was absolutely innocent when he was not!

Kindly check and refer to the Nixon incident of Nov. 17, 1973! You will definitely know that Mr. Ex-president, the beleaguered commander-in-chief, painted himself into a corner from which resignation offered his only escape less than a year later, on August 9, 1974.

Anyway, we all know that’s how some cookies crumble!

And now, our desperate Kano ex-senator, Bashir Garba Lado, the man with less at stake, who has already swallowed the snake oil that may warrant his career suicide in politics,

Remember the Lado episodes? He had contested and lost in the Senatorial primaries woefully to a gentleman per excellence, His Excellency Alhaji Abdulsalam Abdulkareem Zaura (A. A. Zaura). As if it’s not enough, he is now busy trying to run from pillar to post to further prove his desperation for the position.

The series of escapades of this chap, who from inception refuted all reports that he had relinquished his bid to contest for the senatorial position under the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in the state following an order by the governor of the state, Abdullahi Ganduje,

He conspicuously staged that Governor Ganduje ordered him to let go of his ambition as a peace offering to a former governor of the state, Ibrahim Shekarau, who is also seeking to retain his senatorial seat.

But that’s all the birds’ stories! The fact of the matter is that Mr. Lado is well known for his solo moves right from the late Sani Abacha’s days up to this moment. He enjoys going about crying and making noises all over the place to pretend as if he is more relevant than anyone else.

It is not a bad idea to be ambitious anyway, but it is always healthy to run affairs with decorum and professionalism.

In the case of the ex-senator, one may see him as an alibi for truth and reconciliation.

This piece intends to run in a series, in order to highlight most of the unfortunate incidents Lado cooked for his selfish interest. Such manners exhibit by the ex-senator is a true testimony that he is not more than a noise maker.

There are more stories about Lado’s bunch of unbelievables, yet he is trying to prove that got intelligence!
