To curb the growing incidents of cybercrimes and to redirect the focus of our youths into positive cybernetics, do you know that the Buhari administration has concluded arrangements to train 40,000 Nigerian youths for free on cybersecurity?
The training will be done in partnership between the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports (on behalf of the administration) and the Halogen Group, which is a renown IT security firm. And the agreement for this partnership was signed in Abuja on Thursday, August 11, 2022.
With compilation of beneficiaries now set to commence, it is expected that this cybersecurity training will end up producing youths that will be very versatile in IT security techniques, and will also make them become employable by firms and corporations that require such pool of manpower in cybernetics.
