To intensify its budding agricultural revolution that is firmly gaining hold across the country, do you know that the Buhari administration has concluded arrangements to begin a massive Modular Irrigation Project in Adamawa State?
The Modular Irrigation Project, which will be executed through the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), will be done on a 10-hectare farmland which will be fed with water from the River Benue. And it is designed such that it will have 3 multi-crop seasons each year.
Already, the sum of N24bn has been approved for this laudable project by President Muhammadu Buhari as disclosed by the Executive Vice Chairman of NASENI, Professor Mohammed Sani Haruna on Friday, August 5, 2022 after a meeting with the President at the presidential villa in Abuja.
Set to commence in October 2022, this Modular Irrigation Project will certainly provide hundreds of jobs to energetic youths as well as provide thousands of business opportunities in the entire agricultural value chain derivable from this particular farm.
