The Commissioner of Police, Jigawa State Police Command, CP Aliyu Sale Tafida has tasked the promoted senior officers to put more commitment and professionalism while discharging their duties.

The commissioner made the call when he decorated eleven (11) newly promoted senior officers from the rank of Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSP) to the substantive rank of Superintendents of Police (SP), at the State Headquarters, Dutse.

Tafida congratulated the newly promoted officers on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Baba and tasked them to show more commitment and professionalism while discharging their legitimate duty.

He urged them to consider the new rank as motivation and additional responsibilities.

The commissioner also warned them to be disciplined, loyal, and hardworking.

He, however, thanked the Inspector General of Police and the Police Service Commission for the promotion, describing it as another welfare initiative for officers and men of the Nigeria Police, which will boost their morale and enhance service delivery.
