In another milestone achievement that will boost the efficient distribution of electricity in Nigeria, do you know that the Buhari administration is now set to flag-off the construction of Nigeria’s first transformers production plant?
The transformer plant, which will commence in September 2022 is a culmination of an agreement between the federal government and the China Great Wall Industry Corporation (CGWIC), which is the technical partner that will execute the project.
The plant will have 3 important components: the Solar Cell production plant; the High Voltage Testing Laboratory, and the Transformer Production Line. And as expected, while this is a giant leap towards better power supply, the plant itself will be a source of job opportunities for Nigerians.
