To develop Nigeria’s ability to feed itself through the local production of food, do you know that the Buhari administration has commenced the establishment of a tomato paste factory in Uke town in Nassarawa State?
The foundation for the construction of the factory was done by the Minister of State for Science, Technology and Innovation, Barr. Mohammed Abdullahi on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 who said the project was born out of the patriotic need to boost Nigeria’s economy by reducing reliance on importation of what can be produced here.
Without doubt, this new tomato paste factory will certainly elevate Nigeria’s economy to a more productive level in the sense that, apart from the jobs it will create for Nigerians, it will also guarantee tomato farmers in the State and its neighbours a reliable market for their produce, which will definitely reduce waste and loss of financial returns.
