208,000 SMALL BUSINESSES HELPED WITH N482bn SURVIVAL FUNDS IN 2021

    To aid low-level MSMEs expand their stock and services, do you know that in the year 2021 alone, the Buhari administration helped 208,000 such companies with survival funds to the tune of N482bn?

    This was disclosed by the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Hajiya Zainab Ahmed during the 3rd Annual Lecture of the Development Bank of Nigeria (DBN) in Abuja on Thursday, September 29, 2022. She also said the Business Survival Fund was initiated by the administration for this purpose.

    The breakdown of the facts and figures she released shows that 27% of the loans went to youth-owned enterprises while 66% went to enterprises owned by women. And the results of the packages show that these MSMEs are now able to increase their staff strength and productivity.
